This morning, there was a fire in the athletics laundry room at Royal High School. The fire alarm sounded as designed and students were evacuated to Falcon Stadium. Officers and a volunteer firefighter extinguished the flames, and the local Volunteer Fire Department cleared the building for re-entry. No staff or students were injured during the incident. The area is being blocked from entry while the Fire Marshall conducts an investigation. A remediation service has been scheduled. All after-school district events scheduled at Royal High School will proceed as planned.
