We hope you had a great weekend! Make sure you check royal-isd.net to see what’s happening at Royal! Reminder! Friday, October 6 and Monday, October 9 are student/staff holidays. Our students excel in so many areas, so we have numerous opportunities for the community to support them in their endeavors. THANK YOU to the Royal Education Foundation. They awarded $39,378.25 to our Royal educators in the Fall 2023 grant program. They still have 2 more checks to present, so watch the district website and social media for a video of the award presentations!
Have a wonderful week!
Bullying Prevention Month
See something, say something. Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school-aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems.
In order to be considered bullying, the behavior must be aggressive and include:
- An Imbalance of Power: Kids who bully use their power—such as physical strength, access to embarrassing information, or popularity—to control or harm others. Power imbalances can change over time and in different situations, even if they involve the same people.
- Repetition: Bullying behaviors happen more than once or have the potential to happen more than once.
Custodial & Maintenance Workers Appreciation Day (October 2)
The custodial and maintenance teams at Royal work tirelessly to ensure that our campuses are safe and healthy for our Falcon learners. They also keep our facilities in great shape to provide the most optimal learning environment possible. Ways to celebrate!
Instructional Coaches Day (October 6, Official – October 5, Observed)
Royal will celebrate Instructional Coaches Day on October 5, as October 6 is a student and staff holiday. An instructional coach is an educational leader who works in a school or district to support teachers in reaching their goals. Effective instructional coaches serve as thought partners, building relationships based on trust and mutual respect and providing reflective, inquiry-oriented feedback. Ways to celebrate!
