Fall 2023 Testing Day

Royal High School is proud to announce that their October 26, 2023 testing day was extremely successful. Staff attendance was almost at 100%. The Falcon Technology team went above and beyond to make the day a success. Due to the hard work of Mike Nicholas, Myron MoHam, Duc Tran, and Sandra Olison, the technology portion ran smoothly. The tests were also administered at the DAEP campus. To accommodate the testing schedule, RHS implemented four lunches instead of the standard two.

  • Total Registered testers (AM): 410, of which 175 took the paper version of the SAT
  • Total Registered testers for (PM): 506 (all digital)
  • Students who did not test were provided with the opportunity to receive CPR credit by Memorial Hospital and Peace Officer training, led by Chief Vaughn and the RISD police officers.  Students also heard grade-level conversations and completed personality quizzes.  Thank you to the Royal ISD Police Department for assisting students in completing their graduation requirement as well as for offering an engaging session.

For digital tests, students submit their answers at the end of the allotted time, resulting in some groups still testing after the regular dismissal time. Transportation stepped up to ensure that the bus routes accommodated the delay. Parents of car riders were personally informed by RHS Associate Principal Alexandre of the delay.  While a small group of students did not complete their tests until 4:20 PM, RHS felt it was a priority to give them the opportunity to complete their exams. The tests provide important achievement data for the campus and also provide an opportunity for students to qualify for advanced classes.

Royal High is appreciative and thankful for everyone at the campus and district level who assisted in making the day a success.
