Today, The Hangar Unity Center posted the following update:
"#41 Food Distribution. Today we started early to serve the Brookshire community due to the rain forecast.
We were able to finish the Food Distribution early because Royal ISD transported 80 of their CTE Students that are members of Skills USA (A/V Arts, Welding, Health Science, Machining, Automotive, and Cosmetology pathways) united in helping The Hangar Unity Center serve the Brookshire community which serve over 400 families.
We had a total of 100 volunteers. The Hangar Unity Center would like to thank everyone that participated to make this Food Distribution successful. We had an awesome day serving the community of Brookshire.
Cindy Ventura - The Community Health Navigator with Access Health Clinic was also conducting Community Health Assessment.
Drell Perry - Houston Food Bank Community Assistance Program was also at the Food Distribution to sign people up for the Community Assistance Program."
Thank you to The Hangar for all they do for the Royal community and to our CTE/SkillsUSA students and the other volunteers for helping serve our community. Royal has truly wonderful students and staff with hearts for service.
