Early voting ends in THREE DAYS! Have you voted? Sharing your voice by voting is vital to the future of our country, and is even more important during the uncertainty we have faced in 2020.
Participating in elections is one of the key freedoms of American life. Many people in countries around the world do not have the same freedom, nor did many Americans in centuries past. No matter what you believe or whom you support, it is important to exercise your rights.

Before COVID-19, Royal was 75% one-to-one technology, meaning that RISD had supplied 75% of Falcons with a device for learning purposes. This allowed RISD to quickly bring that number to 100%. Thank you to our superhero Technology Team for helping our Falcons soar every day!

The 2020-2021 Student Handbook is available at https://bit.ly/3owf48W. It is also on each campus page under Parents & Students. Have a great day, Falcons!

The 24-4A District cross country meet will be held at Royal on Wednesday, October 28th at 8:30am. It will be held just west of the high school starting. The first event will be the Varsity Boys 5K at 8:30 am . Complete event information is available at https://5il.co/mh2e.

Good morning, Falcons! As we head into the final week of Early Voting, we wanted to provide you with an answer to the following question:
"Why does the language on the ballot state that there will be a tax increase when RISD leadership has stated that there will not be one?"
The statement in the ballot language is misleading. In 2019, the Texas Legislature passed legislation requiring the ballots for all school bond elections to include a sentence that states “THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.” The sentence is required even if no actual tax rate increase will occur. Visit https://5il.co/ldu9 to view the ballot language in Spanish and English.
Royal Bond 2020 will NOT result in an increase to the tax rate, regardless of the outcome of the bond election. Together, the proposals total of $37,302,581. No increase in the total tax rate is anticipated to pay off the bonds associated with the three propositions.
Have additional questions about Royal Bond 2020? Our team is committed to full transparency and is available to answer your questions! Call 281-934-2248 and ask for Christi Ginn, email Christi Ginn (cginn@royal-isd.net), and/or email Superintendent Rick Kershner (rkershner@royal.com). Go Falcons!

Royal Superintendent Rick Kershner and many of the team at Royal have voted . Have you made YOUR voice heard?
Election 2020 has seen record breaking early voting numbers. Early voting ends Friday, October 30. Vote today to skip the lines on Election Day (11/3/20).
