Waller Commissioner Kendric Jones hosted a Battle of the Bands on Saturday, March 25. Royal was well represented by multiple bands including the Jr High Jazz Band, the Jr High Symphonic band, and the Royal Marching Sound Machine.

This first-of-its-kind Waller County family fun event featured local bands plus a little friendly competition. Community members were invited to hear some of the best entertainment from rock & roll, country, and pop bands in the area. The Jr High and the High School received $1000 each for their stellar presentations, scoring a total of 98 points out of 100.
