Signing Day: Falcon Skyler Webb Signs Teaching Contract

Falcon Skyler Webb, who has served as a substitute teacher, library aide, and bus driver, has completed the PVAMU Panther Term Program. Mr. Webb is now a fully certified teacher. He will be the 6-8 PLTW teacher at the Royal STEM Academy.

Mr. Webb was recognized with a Spirit Award at the 2022 Teacher of the Year and Special Awards banquet. When asked in 2022 why he works in education and for advice he would like to give to his students, he stated, β€œMy β€œwhy” is pretty simple.  I am here for the good things; for the little things.  I strive to make a positive impact on everyone I meet on a daily basis.  From greeting students and their parents in the bus- and car-rider lines in the morning, to my bus monitoring duty in the afternoons taking the students home, and every class and duty station in between I try to be positive and kind.  I try to remind myself that many students will try to emulate the things that they see, so I try to be a good example for them.  Whenever my students leave from the library or classroom I am in with them, and even the lunch room, I always send them off with the same launch statement because it is some of the best advice that I have to give.  I tell them, β€œHave a good day, make good choices, and be kind to each other.”

He was joined on signing day by his wife, Falcon Veronica Webb, their children, STEM Principal Katelyn Miksch, Royal Director of Teaching and Learning Phylicia Glover, STEM PLTW teacher Ana Lopez, and Dr. Hill Jackson from Prairie View A&M for the signing of his teacher contact. Congratulations, Mr. Webb! We look forward to great things from you as you lead our students and invest in our tomorrow! #WeAreRoyal
