Royal ISD students had a night to remember as they stepped into the world of opera!
Communities In Schools (CIS) took 15 Junior High and 4 High School students to participate in CIS Night at the Opera, an unforgettable experience filled with culture, music, and storytelling. Students had the incredible opportunity to watch West Side Story, a timeless musical that blends opera, dance, and drama into a captivating performance.
Beyond the show itself, students explored the opera house, taking in the grandeur of the venue and gaining insight into the world of performing arts. For many, this was their first exposure to opera—a night filled with new sights, sounds, and inspiration.
This enriching experience highlighted the importance of arts in education, giving students a broader perspective on creative expression and the power of storytelling through music. Communities In Schools continues to provide opportunities that expand students' horizons and open doors to new experiences.
