Ms. Brown has been an educator for 8 years. In 2017 she graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Brown will be graduating from Lamar University in with her Master’s Degree in School Counseling early August 2025.
Over the last 8 years, Ms. Brown has served as a 2nd grade, 4th grade, and PreK teacher in Katy ISD. She is also certified in and experienced with working with students in ESL and Special Education programs. This will be Ms. Brown’s first year as a school counselor and she is excited to use the knowledge and expertise she gained through both her school counseling internship and practicum experiences.
Some of her favorite things are spending time with her family, visiting Disney World, shopping, reading, and playing board games.
Ms. Brown is an enthusiastic, encouraging, and motivating educator with a drive to inspire young minds. As your counselor, she is excited to build a program for students, staff, and our school community that is welcoming, accessible to all, solution focused, and uplifting. She hopes to be a support system for both students and staff in order to help students achieve their highest potential socially, emotionally, and academically.
