Former Royal ISD Graduate, Mariela Perla Aguilar was recently selected by the nation's leading Florist Designers and Renowned Simon Lycett to be chosen to compete in a Series on HBO Max titled "Full Bloom". Mariela graduated from Royal High School in 2012, while serving as an active FFA member, Chapter FFA President, State Champion Individual Floriculture Career Development Event, Champion Team and High Individual at the Houston Livestock Show Floriculture Competition as well as member of the State Qualifying Royal FFA Public Relations team. She and other students in her graduating class were the first to receive their Texas High School Floral Certifications back as licenses and certifications became increasingly popular for students to attain. Since that time, the CTE program & Horticulture pathway has certified over 150 students at Royal ISD. After High School, Perla furthered her knowledge of Plants and the Floriculture Industry while studying at Texas A&M and earning a Bachelorette Degree in Horticulture. She now owns and operates her own business 'Casa De Flores' in Brookshire, Texas. Perla has demonstrated her leadership skills both locally, statewide and now nationally. Congratulations to Perla Aguilar on your achievements, Royal ISD would like to honor you for your hard work ethic and drive to succeed.
