Royal ISD celebrated Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director Ronnie Melton at a retirement reception on Wednesday, December 13. Mr. Melton was an agricultural science teacher at Royal from 1988 to May 2004. He became the first CTE Director in district history in August 2004 and served in that role for 35 years.
Royal ISD owes its successful CTE program to Mr. Melton. Superintendent Kershner stated, "The impact and legacy left by Ronnie Melton will not soon be forgotten. Thank you for your decades of dedication and commitment to Royal ISD."
