How long have you worked at Royal ISD?
This is the start of my 3rd year with Royal ISD and as the principal of the STEM Academy.
What's your "why"?
I work in public education to help students recognize their natural abilities and talents and help them reach their full potential. Seeing the growth in students over the time I work with them motivates me to keep going because the job of a public educator is definitely not easy!
How do you contribute to the district mission statement of "investing in our tomorrow"?
I strive to hire talented teachers and staff members with the desire to connect with our students. I try to get to know each of my students and encourage them to do their best daily. When I make decisions, I think about what will be best for my students' futures.

What are 1-2 goals you would like to achieve during the 2024-2025 school year?
My goal this year is for every student to grow academically and personally.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I enjoy being outside whether I am at the beach, the lake, the golf course, or my yard. I also enjoy spending time with family and listening to live music.
