Royal ISD is excited to welcome students back to school on August 12. Royal ISD parents/guardians and students will be able to choose between two learning options for the 2020-2021 school year:
- traditional in-person learning on campus or
- at-home learning.
The at-home option is being provided for our families who have health and safety concerns with sending their students back to school. If your student will not be returning to Royal ISD for the 2020-2021 school year, please select the option for " My student will not be returning to Royal ISD for the 2020-2021 school year".
Royal ISD’s Commitment to Our Community:
Providing a safe environment for our students and staff is our top priority, and additional safety measures will be put in place in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 both in our schools and on school buses. By providing your education setting preference, you will help us in planning our safety guidelines for the 2020-2021 school year.

Royal ISD parents/guardians are asked to select the return to school option that will best serve their individual student(s). Please complete one form for each student in your family. Families with students already enrolled for the 2020-2021 school year, as well as families new to Royal ISD, must complete the Royal ISD 2020-2021 School Commitment Form. This information is vital to allowing us to plan teacher assignments and resource requirements for the 2020-2021 school year. Individual schedules cannot be finalized until we receive your signed commitment.
It is vital that parents/guardians complete this form no later than the deadline of 5:00 PM on Friday, July 17, 2020. To complete the form for your student(s):
- Log into the Skyward Parent Portal.
- Scroll to the bottom of the left column and expand the "Custom Forms" section.
- Click the "Royal ISD 2020-2021 School Commitment Form" link.
- Complete and sign the form.
Students enrolled in the At-Home Learning (Virtual Learning Experience) will be required to log in each school day to complete assigned learning activities. Requests to change previously selected learning options will ONLY be considered at the end of each grading period. Parents/guardians should contact their student's campus to request a change.
