The Royal Marching Sound Machine received their brand new marching percussion instruments, including tonal basses and a set of quints, yesterday evening. Our previous drums were outdated and not compatible with the style of music our students perform during our UIL Marching Contests, having not been replaced since the 1990s. The Royal Education Foundation provides many opportunities for our students with their generosity and dedication to our district. These drums, paid for by the foundation, will allow our band students to achieve greater success at our UIL Marching Contest and throughout the season. We cannot thank you enough, Royal Education Foundation!
